becouse thats what has happen to our culture ,our authenticity of hip hop has been put out like a whore and fuckd over and over, and im stealing the game back bringin u real musik with out lying to the fan this is me and my life..

If you ask me or anyone that knows her or her company, the answer would have to be one in the same. Diana Rosario is MuñekaWear, and MuñekaWear is Diana Rosario. It doesn’t end there, the journey to where she is right now, is a journey many independents would love to find themselves in. Get this, picture yourself having a talent you believe in, better yet, a natural talent you believe in, and actually pursuing your talent, and making it into something by any means necessary!, this is not something extraordinarily new, we’ve seen this before right?…Christopher “Biggie” Wallace, and Sean “Jay Z” Carter to keep it simple…neither of them wrote their rhymes right?, and both managed to fascinate us all with their weaving of words…once again,in that aspect,”one in the same”. Ms MuñekaWear will fascinate you with her “FREESTYLE”  way of weaving in her own unique way…Designing!

I have met with this fashion phenomenon on numerous occasions, and each time I asked my questions, I always received the same answers, this is in a 4 year span. This only proved to me the genuine person she is, and talk about ambitious!…think about this…in the 4 years I’ve known her, she started 2 company’s, she designs her own graphics, she produces her own runway fashion shows, she hand makes her own clothing line,HANDMAKES!…DID YOU SEE HER WEBSITE?!…anyway, while hand-making, and meeting deadlines, she’s also a very down to earth family oriented married woman!(sorry guys!)…I’m not going to get deeper into her personal life, but wow…when someone takes a no holds barred approach in life, through even tragedies…how can you sit around and do nothing?, how can you yourself not chase your dream, and support others in achieving theirs?,food for thought.

I’m not here to bore you with someone Else’s achievements, I just call it like I see it,  this is as real as “keepin’ it REAL gets!”…of course once again, you don’t have to take my word for it, the proof is right in your face!…you can log on to munekawear.com, you can log on to kacheassociates.com which is her other self-made company for people like us, which I am a proud member of. You may even say this may be a conflict of interest me writing about someone I work with and admire, but I’m sure if given the opportunity, you would do the exact same thing!

This Summer Diana will be producing her 3rd annual run way show, with new extravagant designs!…and fresh new faces!…she’s also launching her fresh new Muñekita collection, for ages 4-12. With hot new ideas, and ambition a freight train couldn’t stop, you are bound to see or hear something new and refreshing from this soon to be fashion icon, EVERYTIME!

Diana’s first fashion Debut was in June of 2006 at Glo ultra lounge. Her Second was at Club Destiny on April of 2007, In 2008 she took a well deserved maternity leave, and is ready for her 3rd Annual entitled “The MuñekaWear Experience”! this coming June!…This event will have massive coverage on all levels, this years sponsors are very proud and excited, this event will have more models, more style, more people than any of the other 2 previous fashion shows, which were extremely good, but when I asked Diana what would be different, she simply said ” this one is going to be extremely great!”

G5P

Last we caught up with the group G5P- that consists of artists/ brothers TF and ANT they had just released their Red Bandana mixtape volume one. Since then they have generated a huge street buzz due to the success of not only their mixtape but also their following and stage shows. Bottom line is if you see G5P on the bill for a show you know it’s going to be a packed house.  The energy they demonstrate in their live shows is comparable to that of an M.O.P. or Busta Rhymes performance. Now that their second mixtape is just about complete and about ready to drop, we took the time to see what they’ve been up to…

Tell us about some places you’ve performed and who you’ve opened up for?

TF: We’ve performed at Tight Rack, Coco’s, Club Envy, and opened for Ron Browz, 5heek Louche, Jadaki55 and lot5 of local event5.

What can we expect from your new mixtape- RED RAG Volume 2?

TF: Fire! A lot of 5tuff that we did not cover in volume one.

Do you have any features on it?

TF: Of cour5e, we have our artist Bug5y, Pa55ion who i5 our 5inger, G 5harp, 5TIX, & Fidel Ca5hflow.

How do people react to you now that they see you are being consistent with your music?

Ant: We get the upmo5t respect and love from everyone who hear5 our muzik.

Is there anybody that you have not collaborated with yet and would like to?

TF: D BLOCK!

How would you classify your style of music?

TF: Ju5t like the my5pace 5ay5 – Unique and different.

What did you learn after putting out the first mixtape?

TF: that you really gotta listen to the OG’ 5 that’5 been doing it longer and pay homage to them cuz they the one5 that guide you in the right direction. We’ve learned a lot from cat5 like Fidel Ca5hflow and G 5harp 5o going into volume 2 it make5 me feel a lot more comfortable. We got al the real 5hit out the way, people know who we are and basically we fuckin back!

Ant: (laughs,and affirms) We fuckin back!

Any possibilities of  an official G5P album?

TF: Of cour5e it’5 gonna happen we’re aiming at January 2010.

How do you feel before, during and after a performance?

Ant: before the 5how we’re posted over 100 deep –ju5t chillin, drinking and getting in the vibe. During the 5how we ripping it like alway5. And after the 5how you know how we get it poppin, Ca5hflow knows (laughs).

TF: Its ju5t an ill a55 good feeling all around – thi5 i5 what we do!

For this edition of PICK and DUSSY, I decided to attack a new trend amongst young women: Being the “side chick.” With the media glorifying men as players and society viewing faithful men as punks, some women have decided to accept the inevitable and date taken men. I have been told that being the side girl for many women has proven to be more exciting, glamorous, and even more profitable than the main girl role. So to PICK and DUSSY readers I’ve got to ask: “Is monogamy dead? And if so, have women dug its grave?”
Once up on a time it was a huge embarrassment to be second in a man’s life; I wanted to find out what the appeal was so I interviewed two females who came forward as re-occurring side chicks. We will refer to girl #1 as Cole Slaw, and girl #2 as Macaroni. Both girls are infamous for dating taken guys and make no excuses about it so I asked them: “Why do you do it?”
Macaroni:  I just love the thrill, and guys that are attached do what ever you want because they are so scared of getting busted.
Cole Slaw:  Yeah and the sex is always crazy, especially if you do freaky stuff their girl doesn’t do.

Both girls told me that they have gotten many gifts from their men from designer bags, shoes and clothes, to their bills being paid. Being a side chick started to sound very appealing. I wondered if there were any draw backs to this situation, so I asked them: “Is there a down side?”
Cole Slaw: Yeah, the worst part is when you see all your friends getting engaged and moving in with their men and you know that will never happen with your guy. It makes you wonder if the excitement of it all is worth it.
Macaroni:  I would say the holidays are the worst because that is usually the time that guys spend with their girl, the one the family knows. I’ve learned how to deal with that though; all I have to do is act up really bad just before. Usually I get some flowers and a better gift that the main girl, just to keep me quiet.”

After talking with both side chicks, Cole Slaw said she was tired of her position and was going to try to give her man an ultimatum and become his main girl. Macaroni on the other hand revealed that she had two other guys her self that lived in different cities and is happy with the way things are going right now.

With the insight from these two I have to conclude that men are only as good as their opportunities and with women opening their hearts and legs to taken guys they are either furthering the advancement of players or they are joining them at their own game.
Here are a few tips for all of my current or potential side chicks in order to stay ahead of   the game:
Make sure you have access to him at all times but don’t let him be able to reach you whenever he wants!
Don’t spend a dime on him; you are on his budget not yours!
Gets his girlfriend’s number from his phone with out him knowing so that if he really pisses you off you can have one up on him.
Stay safe –ALWAYS use condoms. You never know if you’re the ONLY side chick!
Date other guys at least once a month so that he knows that he is replaceable.
ALWAYS LOOK SEXY!  Main girls get comfortable and tend to look frumpier with time.

For the taken men who are currently juggling a main girl and a side girl here is a guide of what to get your side chick for the holidays and which holiday to spend with her:
Christmas- spend this holiday with your main girl, but get your side chick some thing either very romantic or sexy, girls judge how much you like them off of what type of gift you get them. Example: lingerie hugs and kisses jewelry, and of course you can never go wrong with diamonds!
New Years Eve- Spend this holiday with your main girl, but do make plans for New Year’s Day with your side chick. When a new year comes around people try to kick bad habits so by spending the first day of the year with her you’ll ensure her that ditching her is NOT one of your new year’s resolutions.
Valentine’s Day-  Plan to have lunch (or breakfast) with your side chick and dinner with your main chick.  You better set this one up way in advance so start making a plan right NOW!
Thanksgiving: Handle this one just like Valentine’s Day (see above).
Birthdays – Hopefully for you your main girl and side- chick will not have the same birthday!  YOU MUST SPEND BIRTHDAYS with each one of your girls!
Anniversaries – This one should not be a problem at all! If you are dumb enough to have the same anniversary with your side chick as you do with your main chick, you should retire your player jersey!
Helpful Tip: Throughout the year if you have a side chick, expect them to try to end things or threaten you about leaving (this is normal). For the most part you should never beg or plead, let them leave and give them a cooling off period. Remember that if they stuck it out with you this long – there is something about you that they REALLY like!  Call them in two weeks and it will be as if you pressed the reset button on your PS3 all over again – game on!
