ROBERT OF THE RIVER SHIP,Cesar AKA FIDEL OF PURE CASH MAG, DJ Riot, DJ Junior Tec,Uli 149,Claudia V.,Indio,Alma B.,Louise of PM LIMOS,Jimmy Ace,Abner & Fam,Linda V.,Hernan of Mojitos Ultra Lounge,Who’s Hot Orlando,MY NY 149 FAMILIA,my brother Felix aka F/X149,Big Chris & Brother Ed,Josh of NY STREETS a Hip Hop Shop In Deltona fl! ,Diana and Anne of Munekawear!…without all of your involvement who knows where we would be.

Success for lack of a better word is the key factor to this historic night. No ones perfect, but when you have a sell out crowd on a River Ship in Central Florida the feeling is overwhelmingly heart felt!…it felt like a religious experience, an epiphany even!. I would like to share with you some of the things that occurred from day 1,to the evening of May 21st 2010, and of course, the closing of the night.

I don’t want to bore any of you with how it all began since the New York Streets and yada yada yada…that’s been done. I’ll just get straight to it…Apples & Oranges (THE BIG APPLE IN THE ORANGE STATE!)….an Idea i had when I first stepped foot in Orlando. I still had New York Promo Fever!…I wanted My NY DJs to Battle the Floridian DJs!…I wanted that more than anything at the time!..I pitched it around my fellow DJ acquaintances some said yes, but the majority said Hell No!…seems like no one wants to Battle Much anymore. At the time I was very disappointed, but I kept it moving, thus…Apples & Oranges!…only this time, it wasn’t a battle, it ended up on a boat! but we did manage to fly over a NY DJ…New York’s Underdog DJ JUNIOR TEC! to be alongside Florida’s Underdog  DJ Riot!…together they formed “THE PROFESSIONALZ!”…a new DJ Line up that consists of 10 + years experience and skill!..by the way..these two are not alone!…they have other members that you probably already know, you’ll hear more about that in the near future, right now its “Rock The Boat!…a title DJ Riot thought of while designing the graphics to this event!…flawless…

I thought to my self…”There’s only a hand full of club owners and promoters that helped me in the past”…I needed a venue…In the past the only other two places I promoted was Pounders, and Mirage here in Florida…I did more in NY…but  here in Central Florida you get what I call the Smiley Faces!…you get so many Smiley Faces 8)…ALL DAY!…AND SO MANY YES MEN!..YES YES YES!..WHAT EVER YOU SAY,WHAT EVER YOU LIKE..YES YES YES…BUT NO DELIVERY!…I SHOULD NAME NAMES BUT I WONT! ,BUT YOU KNOW WHO YOU GUYS ARE!…some of you met with me , some through Facebook, and some through phone and text. You all didn’t believe in me and my ability’s but in retrospect… GOOD!…when the grass is cut you can see the snakes!…thank you so very much for revealing yourselves early so that I didn’t get into some damage I couldn’t walk away from!. On that note…lets go to phase 2!

THE TEAM!…you cannot do anything alone!…without a team, you might as well pack it in!…go build a clubhouse or some sh*t!…and it cant be just any team, you have to surround yourself with positive no non-sence people!…and this is where Yami and Yami Events come in…if you want an organized event of any capacity, there’s nothing she cant handle. Merging with Yami Events has been a major piece to the One4nine puzzle. Excellence is her presence when she’s working an event!,attention to detail baby….there’s nothing like it!…Strong women make the world go round…my Fiance Lissette keeps me focused and on my toes, Diana of Munekawear is an administrative innovator, Mellisa of the River ship is a  Strong Management Leader!, and how can I forget Louise of PM LIMOS!…omg!,,,very precise, very accurate in execution, and pleasant to work with!…for any transportation needs,,,thats my girl!…now the fellas…Cesar Houdini!…lol…aka Fidel Cash Flow…aka Cesar G.,aka Founder of Pure Cash Mag!…You want precision, you want more excellence, you want flawlessness?…ask Cesar….and maybe if your real enough…you may get some help!…same with DJ Riot & Tec…no matter how many HATERS they have, and they have plenty!…do they ever stop or slow down?…NOPE!…love working with those guys…than of course the new editions to the One4nine Familia….Ulysses & Alina B….you guys did your magic and put the finishing touches to this past “Rock the Boat experience…Like I said…with a Great Team…whos’ gonna stop you?!…I also want to recognize the one4nine team in NY…from Club Ownership to various endeavours….we still have plenty of work to do!

OK now..lets talk about the River Ship Romance!…from Brunch,Lunch,and Dinner…and now…”NIGHTCLUB!”…Captain Robert knows how to make you feel welcome!..located at 433 n Palmetto ave in Sanford, a 25+ year old business opened there doors to One4nine & Yami Events…RED CARPET STYLE!…THEY LITERALLY ROLLED OUT THE RED CARPET FOR US!…you have to respect that!…mind you they have never catered to this kind of CLUB LIFE crowd!…very brave thing to do, and with a sellout crowd which included two huge CHARTER BUSES, AND NO MORE PARKING LEFT!…IT COULD HAVE BEEN OVERWHELMING!…what did they do instead?…they joined the Rush!…SIDE BY SIDE AND HAND BY HAND!…EVEN THE CAPTAIN WAS SERVING BOTTLES!…the rush was so chaotic at one point we had to literally get our hands wet!….the V.I.P. was sold out!…people were sitting at tables that were reserved for other people, the V.I.P. become so cluttered, we had to open up a whole new section of V.I.P.!…the food was excellent and the drinks were amazing!…the only thing I can truly say we lacked was MAN POWER!….a staff of less than 10 had to cater to over 200 people on a boat!…with only 2 security Personnel, we really had to stay super focused!…besides a little scuffle we defused and a drunk lady who had to be babysat…the security personnel held it down!…as time progressed,and the people found their relax spot it was smooth sailing from there!…with DJ Tec & Riot on the second level, and DJ D-Roc & Dj NZO on the 1st Level…the music was impeccable!…2 levels of sexy music from top 40’s, to Old Skool, to anything that made the crowd move!….in the end…everyone on every level had a BLAST!…making this the Only Nightclub On the water in Central Florida!…if history taught us anything its that it repeats itself!…

Yes it will be imitated by others…but we pioneered this!…and no one can ever take that away from us!…

If you ask me or anyone that knows her or her company, the answer would have to be one in the same. Diana Rosario is MuñekaWear, and MuñekaWear is Diana Rosario. It doesn’t end there, the journey to where she is right now, is a journey many independents would love to find themselves in. Get this, picture yourself having a talent you believe in, better yet, a natural talent you believe in, and actually pursuing your talent, and making it into something by any means necessary!, this is not something extraordinarily new, we’ve seen this before right?…Christopher “Biggie” Wallace, and Sean “Jay Z” Carter to keep it simple…neither of them wrote their rhymes right?, and both managed to fascinate us all with their weaving of words…once again,in that aspect,”one in the same”. Ms MuñekaWear will fascinate you with her “FREESTYLE”  way of weaving in her own unique way…Designing!

I have met with this fashion phenomenon on numerous occasions, and each time I asked my questions, I always received the same answers, this is in a 4 year span. This only proved to me the genuine person she is, and talk about ambitious!…think about this…in the 4 years I’ve known her, she started 2 company’s, she designs her own graphics, she produces her own runway fashion shows, she hand makes her own clothing line,HANDMAKES!…DID YOU SEE HER WEBSITE?!…anyway, while hand-making, and meeting deadlines, she’s also a very down to earth family oriented married woman!(sorry guys!)…I’m not going to get deeper into her personal life, but wow…when someone takes a no holds barred approach in life, through even tragedies…how can you sit around and do nothing?, how can you yourself not chase your dream, and support others in achieving theirs?,food for thought.

I’m not here to bore you with someone Else’s achievements, I just call it like I see it,  this is as real as “keepin’ it REAL gets!”…of course once again, you don’t have to take my word for it, the proof is right in your face!…you can log on to munekawear.com, you can log on to kacheassociates.com which is her other self-made company for people like us, which I am a proud member of. You may even say this may be a conflict of interest me writing about someone I work with and admire, but I’m sure if given the opportunity, you would do the exact same thing!

This Summer Diana will be producing her 3rd annual run way show, with new extravagant designs!…and fresh new faces!…she’s also launching her fresh new Muñekita collection, for ages 4-12. With hot new ideas, and ambition a freight train couldn’t stop, you are bound to see or hear something new and refreshing from this soon to be fashion icon, EVERYTIME!

Diana’s first fashion Debut was in June of 2006 at Glo ultra lounge. Her Second was at Club Destiny on April of 2007, In 2008 she took a well deserved maternity leave, and is ready for her 3rd Annual entitled “The MuñekaWear Experience”! this coming June!…This event will have massive coverage on all levels, this years sponsors are very proud and excited, this event will have more models, more style, more people than any of the other 2 previous fashion shows, which were extremely good, but when I asked Diana what would be different, she simply said ” this one is going to be extremely great!”

When I first heard that Dj Junior Tec has crossed over, I was devastated!, I was thinking “ how can the person who’s music I admire go from the Master Hip Hop Blends to Reggaeton?”, let me explain. I’m a big Hip-Hop fan!,to my opinion, no one blended Hip Hop better than J-Tec…his classic blends #3 and #5 should have gone platinum!, he continued on and on way past 10, and started a series of Spidey-Blends…but Reggaeton?…It was almost that feeling everybody felt when MC Hammer went Gangsta’, It just didn’t make sense. Until…

I actually heard it!…I’m not gonna lie, It took many years before I accepted Reggaeton and really took it in…the first Reggaeton Cd I ever heard was by Famous Mix-tape DJ Double R…and what I found amazing is that he uniquely blended it with Hip-Hop almost to perfection, that was in 2004!, so ever since than, the only way I enjoyed Reggaeton was with Hip Hop Blends and mashup’s!,until years later of course, although I do put Hip Hop first, Reggaeton will not be ignored, especially here in Orlando, Have you seen these clubs lately?, Reggaeton to my surprise is here to stay, you have to admire that, or at least respect it.

So here we are 5 years later, me at the office, in the Car, Family functions, just listening to DJ Junior Tec’s “Mi Reggaeton Latino Vol. 15″…I have to tell you, when you here this, you have to have some leisure time, this is not made for dancing, this is made for listening!…some tracks will move you, but not all!…he puts on a couple of Island Tracks/Reggaeton that will definitely move you,(unless you’re dead from the neck down),you’ll have no choice, but the other tracks are mainly what I call…Inspirational, you know…you listen,you bop your head, you drive, etc…

The tempo stood at pace up until track 9 and 10…he has many exclusives on this CD, which pretty much means not many DJs have it, he also gets an occasional drop by Alexis y Fido. He also put in some of his own beats, and blended that in the mix, he put in his signature “Junior Tec!” fade-away…Overall…this piece was good, It wasn’t great only because of expectations!, you will definitely enjoy the music, and the way it was put together, but loving it would be a different story on this particular CD unless you never heard a Junior Tec CD!..if you ever heard vintage Junior Tec, you will want perfection every time…I guess you can say I’m a little spoiled, but I’m not deaf…and I tell him this all the time…”In this game you have to be the best or doing better all the time!”, and of course he’s listening!…(“the new project in progress is just what I’ve been waiting for!”)

My favorite tracks were #10,#17,#18,#19….especially #18 cause it has a Junior Tec exclusive with the song “Dangerous”!..very well put together!, I am looking forward to J-Tec’s upcoming Spidey-Blendz!…when you hear it,you’ll know why…you can find J-Tec on Myspace.com/djjuniortecmp3 and at an Orlando Club this summer!, you can also purchase his work on numixtapes.com

First and Foremost…we at Pure Cash Magazine send our genuine condolences to the friends and family of Erika Roman. I cannot take any credit for anything I’m about to write. I’m not doing this for monetary purposes, or so called shine!..I’m not doing this for recognition, or selfish reasons, those who truly know me know this!…I’m doing this out of respect for someone who paved the way for so many, her contributions stretch way beyond what we will ever know. I’m not gonna sit here and tell you her life story, you can find that anywhere on the net, you can google Erika Roman for all that, I’ll even attach a bio for you!, but again…this isn’t the reason!…Think about this!…just take a moment to think!, why is it so important for you to know anything relevant about the life of Erika Roman?

We’ll get back to that in a moment, I just wanted to share something with all of you before I post Erika’s Bio…and I don’t want to sound cliche’ , but it’s so true…and it’s so relevant for our current situation right now. STOP TAKING LIFE FOR GRANTED!…STOP PROCRASTINATING!…STOP MAKING EXCUSES!…

Think this trough…Erika Roman was one of the most ambitious people I’ve ever met, she was the most Genuine, and the one most likely to succeed in anything she wanted to do!…what did people tell you all your life?…be ambitious!, be genuine!, & succeed!, look at your current situation really hard!…are you headed in the right direction?…are you pushing yourself to where you need to be?, do you often save things for tomorrow?!…if nothing else, learn from this!…Erika would be the first to lend a hand to someone that had drive!…I know!…when she said hello to you, it was real!…never fake!…in this industry, it’s rare that you find that!…I’m sure if she had an opportunity to point you in the right direction, she just did it!

In retrospect, you can learn so much from her footsteps, she never gave up!, take this with you wherever you go…whenever you feel down and worthless because you had a bad day, or you didn’t get signed, or people just don’t believe in you, think of Erika, and what she has accomplished!, and know that it was never easy…know that she was doing exactly what she loved to do!

lets get back to why I’m saying this. I’m so tired of all the good people leaving us!, I’m tired of all the negative news lately!, and although I know she was so loved in Orlando and Power 95.3, it still doesn’t feel justifiable!…her life cut short, so tragically…such a sweet person with so much promise, and so many dreams!…you have to sit back…take a breath…and know that this isn’t fair by far!…so…while this is running through your thoughts, think about what it is you want out of this life…what drives you…and take it to the extreme, because before you know it…time will pass you by, and that never feels right, because it isn’t right!, follow your instincts, and make better decisions for yourself and your family!

I want to once again acknowledge the importance of this moment, do not take my words for granted!…Erika Roman was all for positive reinforcement, and she deserved a hell of a lot more than this!, a lot more than what she had, because she earned it!, don’t ever forget her and what she stood for!, EVER!…life comes and goes…but our memories will last forever…so keep her alive through all the memories she has given us…I’m personally gonna miss you very much Erika, and although we didn’t see each other often, it was always memorable, and that’s what I’m taking with me!, Rest In Peace, and look in on us from time to time…till we meet again “Chula”, we’ll never forget you!

BIOGRAPHY Born and raised in New York City, this young vivacious Latina has been earning her stripes in the music biz for a decade. In her late teens, under the tutelage of New York entertainment impresario Sal Abbatiello, of Fever Records, Erika was being groomed for success. Simultaneously, she began promoting nightclubs while she attended Marymount Manhattan College, in New York. Here she attained a BA in Communications and Media. Always the opportunist, she took a stab as a co-host on Stonybrook University’s popular college radio station, WUSB 90.1FM. Erika’s unforgettable voice and radiant personality made her an instant hit on the show. Making her the station’s first female, hip hop on-air personality. While working at Fever Records, one of the first successful independent records companies, Erika would experience firsthand the many dynamics that make up and drive the world of entertainment. Erika would have the opportunity to travel with many artists throughout the U.S. working in a managerial and promotional capacity. Her energetic and spirited appearance was well received by not just the hosts, but by millions of listeners. Her performance would lead to several radio drops for established air personalities and add yet another talent to her already growing resume. In 2006, Erika Roman officially joined Orlando’s dynamic Hip Hop and R&B radio station WPYO/Power 95.3, as their first Latina on-air radio personality. Erika Roman has joined the already spectacular Morning Show Obie and Lil Shawn as their Producer sidekick giving them added flava to their highly rated morning show time slot. On Sundays, you can catch Erika Roman on her own show, playing the hottest Hip Hop, tapping her audience with innovative news of the entertainment industry from 4-8pm. This opportunity has opened up many doors, and will bring her to a higher level of entertainment. At the fresh start 2007, this Chula was requested to endorse Suzuki of Orlando, spotlighting the new XL7. Currently, Erika is developing an urban interest talk show. As a mentor and role-model for urban youth, Erika can still be found promoting and hosting hot events throughout the east coast, as well as moonlighting for Latina Magazine. She is also in the preliminary stages of authoring a book, and never passes up the opportunity to remind people of their inner strength, power and the true essence of humanity. The Intro:…The true intro began last year for me, last summer to be exact!, it was an early Sunday morning, I packed my bag and headed out to the luxury lounge called Lux on behalf of the director DJ Tivo.  He was shooting a video for Nino who was there on behalf of Sosa and M.V.B. Records, The shoot was about 8 hours long, and that’s when I met up and coming artist “Jayceon”, who happened to be there on behalf of Nino, his cousin. Although he was very modest that morning, as the day grew longer, It was clear to me even back than that he was very focused. We talked about his career as an artist, we also talked about real life events, and passed the time. Moving forward in just one year, I ran into him again at a really nice lay-low spot call the Dungeon Lounge near UCF. We immediately took it from where we left off, like I said…very genuine. No lie!, there was a modeling shoot going on, and one of them tapped the other and said “That’s Jayceon!”…very excited to! I was there on assignment, and not to my surprise so was he. He was giving everyone a copy of his Pre-Album…he looked very pleased and confident in that room!…I was thinking that it was the look of an artist that knew he had something special, like the look Picasso must of had after that last brush stroke!…that’s when I hit him up on the CD Review that I do, all the time I was thinking how life puts people in their place like pawns in a chess game. He was there promoting, and I so happen to do CD reviews, put 2 and 2 together right!, after the event I took my hour drive while listening…I rewound, listened,rewound…and this was the outcome.

The story begins Jayceon at a level I never knew…he mentions “make the track bleed”…and that’s exactly what was done!…Super Producer K,and Nino, really need recognition, it sounded like music professionally done for radio!…I was truly blown away, especially when I found out that the whole CD is NON-FICTION!,these are are true events!…he talks about a relationship gone bad, doing time,and facing 21-25 years for bad decisions!…he mentions his love for his child, and how the game wears many masks, but most of all, the expression feels so genuine, it makes anyone think and become an instant critic. When you see Jayceon, and when you listen to his expression, it feels like a surprise…like wow!…this all happened!…a lot of us won’t lay it all down like that, so I truly commend him for letting us all in and feeling his pain!…there’s a track called “You Left ME”…woe!…he puts his pain right in your hands!, he even cries in this one!,similar to Eminems Kim in his own unique way, when you hear this, it keeps you listening, and saying..”WHAT THE F*CK!”…He truly convinced me that real is honesty, and you know what they say about honesty.

I would like to pause for a short Q & A with Jayceon Now…Just random questions before I give him his stacks….

[P.C.] I heard your album Jayceon, I was very intrigued by the amount of passion you poured into those tracks…what inspired you to lay it all on the table like that, for all of the world to see?  [JAY] My music is my life, When people listen to my music I want them to know what it is to be me and live in my shoes, deal with my problems and know why I go so hard.
 
[P.C.] OK…I’ve listened to this through and through…whom ever is laying out the tracks is really on the right track, who is your producer, and what has he/she done?  [JAY] The Cd has a compilation of producers that have all worked with various artists.
 
 
[P.C.] How much of this album is fictional?  [JAY]  The album is 100% Truth, no fables here.
  
 
[P.C.] Were you facing some serious time, you don’t strike me as a person who gets into serious trouble like that?
  [JAY]  In 2007 I was arrested and charged with 7 felonies,  however I’ve been blessed to still have my focus.
 
  [P.C.] What was it like facing life or death like that?  [JAY] I have 2 children now,back then I had 1. The thought of not seeing my daughter grow up was scary for me, but I don’t know if its god or karma or something completely different, but the bad situations in my life always seem to work themselves out.
 
 
 [P.C.] If I had to grade some of the songs, particularly “Crushing”…I would honestly have to say it  needs improvement…why do you think I would say that? [JAY] Well the song is targeted at a different demographic then the rest of the CD. More for a high school/middle school crowd. It was the first song i ever made, the first song that ever hit radio, and the first song that got me real exposure. It may seem out of context on the album but to me its still one of my favorites. haha
 
[P.C.] My favorite track was the last one!…very,very well put together…very positive!…what was your inspiration on that?
 [JAY] I’m not inspired nor detoured by haters, however that song was to inspire people who had negative people telling them that they cant achieve their dreams. I had people tell me that, and now they see what ive accomplished as a solo artist and they have no choice but to acknowledge me.
 
[P.C.] On that Eminem-Kim style song, what possessed you to put your heart out like that?
    [JAY] I want listeners to feel the pain i feel when i hurt, the passion i have when i love, and the anger i have when i hate in every track.
      You cant be in this business and be afraid to air the dirty laundry, people want truth so that’s what i give them.
 
 
[P.C.] What are you afraid of,what scares you the most?
    [JAY] Mercedes Streets. That’s a scary woman! ha…nah I would have to say failing!…the thought of it pushes me harder!
 
 
[P.C.] Are you a playa-playa…or are you a one woman man?….[JAY] lol
 HA! Pure Cash Magazine, I’m as faithful as they come =)

[P.C.] OK JAYCEON…LOL , besides that…where are you gonna perform next? [JAY] I will be at the 11/12 Lounge this Saturday May 2nd celebrating my birthday, and also putting on a very special show!!

That’s a wrap!!….last thing to do here is give Jayceon my honest, un-biased Review….

My favorite tracks are #3 RINGTONE, and #15 which is a bonus track!…this Bonus Track is worthy to be called a Bonus!…it called “DONT BELIEVE IN ME”…He mentions family, and how people didn’t believe in B.I.G.,2Pac,M.L.K.,Jesus Christ,and even Moses!…I must of heard this about 20 times already, and to my opinion, if this track goes mainstream….4gettaboutit!…it would go platinum for sure!…in my opinion there is only one track that shouldn’t be there(CRUSHIN)…the rhythm is hot, but the innuendo’s are to bubble-gummy for my taste, but with that aside…I give this young man, who happens to be full of passion, and does not care who’s listening, or what anyone has to say, including me, 3 and a half well deserved stacks!!

My only advise is that he stays as real as he is now, and as focused!…if he does this, it’s just a matter of time before he goes global! Congratulations Jayceon!…stay on the right “Track”!…and Happy Birthday from the entire Pure Cash Staff!
